As I tend to revisit Hever Castle regularly, I have created this second page to avoid the delays of downloading too many thumbnails at one time on a single sheet
| Hever Castle Spring 2006 The spring display at Hever unfolds gradually between the months of March until May. Every month there are new displays to see some in a natural setting and others planted in beds for maximum effect. The progression is from carpets of snowdrops and crocus, followed by daffodils, pansies hyacinths and camellias and finally late tulips, rhododendrons, azaleas and wisteria. We are then ready to commence again with the varied summer bedding |

| Hever Castle Spring 2007 When William Waldorf Astor bought Hever Castle in 1903, there had already been some attempts at creating a garden around the castle. The last tenants Captain and Mrs. Sebright, had , in about 1900, already commissioned Joseph Cheal and Son to lay out the gardens around the castle. However their work did not fit in with great scheme envisaged by Astor and their work disappeared, to be replaced between 1904 and 1908 as we see them today. |
