The
completely refurbished London Transport Museum re-opened to the public on 22nd
November 2007, following a complete redesign taking two years to complete at a
cost of £22 million. This has all been completed within the original
Grade II-listed building in Covent Garden, with all the restrictions that this
entailed. The theme of the new museum is to tell the story of public transport
and the development of London over the past two hundred years.
